London's independent brass band network. We're big, we're brassy & we're in your borough!

North London Brass (NLB) is a network of traditional British brass bands and our Concert Band, complete with its own Brass & Woodwind Learners' Academy.

Formed in 2010, NLB has now grown to a strong network of five local bands and an Academy, working with over 120 brass and woodwind players in the North London area.

We've played on BBC and ITV television, taken part in experimental arts projects and played prestigious London venues, but we've also been working hard to support local and national charities through concerts at churches and schools in our areas.

Each NLB band has its own professional Bandmaster (Conductor) and experienced staff team. We pride ourselves on encouraging and developing excellence. But we also retain a friendly and supportive ethos where everyone is welcome and included, especially learners and returning players of all ages and ability.

NLB is run on a professional basis, which for us means that we seek out the best professional musicians to lead our projects, provide excellent facilities and an extensive library in exchange for a modest, regular membership fee.

This entitles players to attend one, several or all of our NLB regular weekly rehearsals including Concert Band and, indeed, our symphony orchestra, choir and After Hours Jam Sessions, concerts and, if selected, our NLB Contest Band.

We're proud of our high quality coaching support and or our family spirit where everyone is encouraged to reach their full musical potential.
