Here is a selection from our performance and entertainments menu: - 'The Four Hills Band' (function/covers band) - our fresh, exciting and talented, versatile six to eight-piece combo, playing and singing a repertoire ranging from cool jazz standards to MoR rock and pop, R&B and Motown sounds. Typical configuration: voices, keyboards or guitar, bass, saxophone or trumpet, drums. Sample repertoire: anything from Autumn Leaves and Misty to La Bamba and Mustang Sally. Guaranteed to get your guests up dancing and singing along all night long!
 - 'The Four Hills Jazz Trio' - almost legendary, top-class jazz trio featuring Martyn Stogden (piano), Paul Geeson (bass) and Wayne Martin (flugelhorn & percussion). The guys perform regularly with some of the top names in British Jazz and provide a solid and smooth jazz mood for your event. Swinging drinks and dinner music is a speciality for the trio they are also in demand for recitals, concerts and workshops.The trio can be augmented with a male or female jazz vocalist. Sample repertoire: from Take Five to Come Fly with Me and anything from the great American songbook. Think Monty Alexander, think Oscar Peterson, think George Shearing ... then think the Four Hills Jazz Trio ;o)
- 'The Last Sixteen' Swing Big Band - need something with a bit more presence and punch for your big event? Why not hire our fabulous, flexible Big Band (we can certainly provide fewer than sixteen players if your event or the size of your venue requires it!) for classic jazz sounds, instrumental evergreens from Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glen Miller up to date, and great songs from the swing era, from Ella to Sinatra and the catalogue of Rat Pack hits. It's a heck of a lot more affordable than you think!
- 'Soul Purpose' Band - our faith-based, Christian big band, playing hot swing, latin and gospel styles to give your church service, faith-based or community event an exhilarating boost. You'll need to make space for anything between ten and twenty instrumentalists and singers and you may need to reinforce the roof too! More details here...
- 'North London Brass' - our traditional British brass band, available in four local flavours: Edmonton, Enfield, Muswell Hill and Southgate. Alternatively, supersize your band by booking NLB Massed Bands, with a combined strength of anything up to 70 players! Ideal for concerts, community events, church services including weddings and outdoor 'bandstand' style performances. All acoustic music - classic sounds! Smaller, professional ensemble available through North London Brass Staff Band - please enquire.
We also provide soloists and specialist ensembles, as follows:- Solo piano - add a touch of class to your function by booking one of our cocktail pianists. We also provide pianists, keyboard players and organists for providing music during wedding services and dinner receptions. Repertoire is anything from classical music to jazz piano styles.
- Singers - perhaps you would like a classical soprano to sing during your wedding service? Or a singer and pianist to perform jazz standards at your private party? Hey, we've even performed in courtyard gardens for summer barbecues ... and we're compact enough not to upset the neighbours!
- Four Hills Horns - our fantastic R&B, Motown, funk and disco horn section, consisting of trumpets, sax and trombone, geared up to provide a ready-made backing section for your band gig or recording.
- Fanfares, trumpets, drums and bugle calls - we have a team of specialist musicians trained in military band styles and who regularly provide bugle calls (eg The Last Post, Taps, Sunset Retreat etc) for funerals and memorial services. We play at cenotaph services every Remembrance Sunday and are in demand between times for similar events. We also provide a fanfare team of bugles or trumpets to open fairs, new buildings, community events and even to play at wedding services. We also provide marching bands, including bugles and military drums, which are great entertainment for outdoor events or for half-time shows at football matches.
- Complete wedding music service - okay, so you'll need an organist for the service, maybe a trumpeter too, a choir or soloist for the signing of the register, a swinging pianist or trio for your drinks reception and dinner music and then a cracking band to get your guests boogying the night away at the evening reception?
